The Everest Base Camp Trek is a legendary Himalayan journey that takes you through the beautiful Khumbu region of Nepal to the base of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest (8,849 m). The trek offers breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other spectacular Himalayan peaks while passing through traditional Sherpa villages and ancient Buddhist monasteries.
Starting with a scenic flight to Lukla, the trail continues through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorak Shep before reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 m. A major highlight is the early-morning climb to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for panoramic sunrise views of Mount Everest. The trek usually takes 12–16 days and is ideal for adventure seekers with good physical fitness and proper acclimatization.

Everest Base Camp Trek – Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Trek briefing and preparation.
Day 2: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
Take a scenic flight to Lukla and trek through beautiful mountain landscapes to Phakding.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Follow the Dudh Koshi River and cross suspension bridges before reaching Namche Bazaar.
Day 4: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Rest and explore Namche Bazaar. Enjoy views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks.
Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek through rhododendron forests to Tengboche and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche
Continue through scenic villages and alpine landscapes to Dingboche.
Day 7: Acclimatization at Dingboche
Rest and take a short hike for acclimatization while enjoying panoramic mountain views.
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche
Trek through the Khumbu Valley, passing memorials and glaciers before reaching Lobuche.
Day 9: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp and Gorak Shep
Trek to Gorak Shep and continue to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). Return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 10: Kala Patthar to Pheriche
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for spectacular Everest views, then descend to Pheriche.
Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Descend through Tengboche and continue back to Namche Bazaar.
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Complete the final trekking section and return to Lukla.
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
